I’m thrilled for the opportunity to attend Digital Summit this week along with three lovely Engauge DIG kids: Rene Smith (@reenazoid), Chad Elkins (@ratpack), and Drew Hawkins (@drewhawkins). It was a privilege to have Tom Lowry of Google at Engauge’s annual Dig Day two weeks ago, and he is one of the many great speakers at the event. I’m also looking forward to connecting with other Atlanta business professionals at the two networking sessions (Monday at 6pm following Gary Vaynerchuk’s keynote and Tuesday at 5pm at the conclusion of the summit).

An interesting speaker to note is Christine Cook of The Daily. I’m looking forward to hearing her perspective in this area with The Daily’s recent launch on the iPad.
9:30am – 10:40am - Featured Speaker Session
Maureen Schumacher (Director of Sales, YouTube, Google) will be one of two speakers. I don’t think the name of her presentation, “Advertising 3.0,” is yet coined, and I’m interested to hear more. Once we’re getting into triads however, I’m having trouble keeping track.
11:00am – 12:10pm - Social Media Trends
Phenomenal panel for this session includes Erika Brookes (@ebrookes), VP of Marketing, Vitrue, who also presented at Engauge’s DigDay two weeks ago. I’m also looking forward to hearing from Ainsley TeGrotenhuis, Director of Digital Marketing, CNN Worldwide (who is also speaking at the following session) and Matt Drinkwater of Groupon.
12:30pm – 2:00pm – Keynote Lunch Panel: The Future of Media
Verrrry interesting. One of the panelists is Dallas Lawrence, Chief Global Digital Strategist, Burson-Marstelle. Yes, that Burson-Marstelle … the PR firm exposed to be hired by Facebook to smear Google last week. I wonder how he’ll address this in the presentation.
Christine Cook of The Daily will also be speaking again.
2:20pm – 3:30pm - Demo Showcase
This will likely be the cant-miss favorite of the Summit. Always thrilled to hear from startups and glad to see this showcase at Digital Atlanta.
3:50pm – 5:00pm - Internet Entrepreneurship
While I’d customarily attend the “Leveraging Social Media” panel, the credentials of the five presenters in this session [including Scoutmob co-founder, Michael Tavani] are simply too good to miss. Here are favorites:
